『Skalds of Metal』は、2023年8月25日に出た全18曲58分の作品で、前作『Rise of Vikingr』の北欧路線をそのまま押し広げている。“Master of War”に始まり、“Ironside”“Jormungandr”“Fenrir”と神話や史実に由来する名が並ぶ。“God of War”にはドイツの中世メタル勢、サルタティオ・モルティスが客演した。
ただし曲目の数え方には注意がいる。18曲のうち3組は同じ曲の別版で、“Thor”と“Thor - Metal Version”、“Forge”と“Forge - Metal Version”、“God of War”と“God of War - Metal Version”がいずれも併録されている。つまり実質は15曲と、その3つの作り直しである。18という数字は、そのまま楽曲数を意味しない。

Skalds of Metal, released on 25 August 2023, runs eighteen songs across 58 minutes and pushes the Norse direction of Rise of Vikingr further out. It opens on "Master of War," and names drawn from myth and history follow — "Ironside," "Jormungandr," "Fenrir." The German medieval metal band Saltatio Mortis guests on "God of War."
The track count needs reading carefully, though. Three of the eighteen are alternate takes of songs already present: "Thor" and "Thor - Metal Version," "Forge" and "Forge - Metal Version," "God of War" and "God of War - Metal Version" all appear together. What is really here is fifteen songs plus three reworkings of them. The number eighteen does not mean eighteen pieces of music.
