Titancraft

『Titancraft』は、IRON SAVIORが得意とするSF的な世界観と、分厚いリフを軸にしたジャーマン・パワー・メタルを、迷いなく鳴らした第9作だ。ピート・ジルク(ヴォーカル、ギター)、ヨアヒム・キュストナー(ギター)、ヤン＝ゼーレン・エッケルト(ベース)、トーマス・ナック(ドラム)という編成で制作され、AFMレコードからリリースされた。本作はバンド史上最大のチャート成功を収め、多くの新たなファンを惹きつけた。 アルバムはインストゥルメンタルの“Under Siege (Intro)”からタイトル曲“Titancraft”へと流れ込み、勢いよく幕を開ける。“Way of the Blade”“Strike Down the Tyranny”では、疾走するビート、力強いコーラス、硬いギターの刻みが炸裂する。コンセプトの壮大さはあっても、曲は難解さよりわかりやすいフックを大切にしている。本作はトーマス・ナックがドラムを務めた最後のスタジオ作でもある。“Seize the Day”“Rebellious”のような楽曲では、疾走感と力強いコーラスが両立している。正統派パワー・メタルの快感を素直に楽しめる、充実した一枚である。

Titancraft is the ninth album, on which Iron Savior sounded, without hesitation, the sci-fi world and the thick-riff German power metal it excels at. It was made with Piet Sielck (vocals, guitar), Joachim Küstner (guitar), Jan-Sören Eckert (bass) and Thomas Nack (drums), and released on AFM Records. The album achieved the biggest chart success in the band's history and drew many new fans. The album flows from the instrumental "Under Siege (Intro)" into the title track "Titancraft," raising the curtain with momentum. On "Way of the Blade" and "Strike Down the Tyranny," racing beats, powerful choruses and hard guitar chugging explode. Even with the grandeur of the concept, the songs value clear hooks over difficulty. A fulfilling record where the pleasure of traditional power metal can be enjoyed straightforwardly.
