We Belong to the Stars

『We Belong to the Stars』は、一通のデモから始まったバンドのデビュー作である。セヴンス・クリスタルで歌うクリスチャン・フィールは、フロンティアーズの他企画で使ってもらおうと自作曲を代表セラフィーノ・ペルジーノへ送った。その中の一曲“My Rock N' Roll”がペルジーノの耳を掴む。彼はフィールに、この曲が示す方向で一枚まるごと作る新バンドの正面に立たないかと持ちかけた。本業のセヴンス・クリスタルとは明確に違う音である。ギターにはザ・フェリーメンやプライマル・フィアのマグナス・カールソンが選ばれた。 リズム隊はH.E.A.T.のヨナ・ティーの推薦で決まった。同バンドの相方ジミー・ジェイをベースに、ドラムにはエクリプスやノルディック・ユニオンを経たマグナス・ウルフステットが座る。プロデュース、ミックス、マスタリングはアレッサンドロ・デル・ヴェッキオ。2022年9月16日発表、全11曲。先行シングルは“Unbreakable”、“Masquerade”にはシェズ・ケインが客演した。そして締めは、すべての発端となったあの“My Rock N' Roll”である。レーベルはこの音をH.E.A.T.やエクリプス、クラウンと同じ傘の下に置きつつ、より重くリフ寄りだと説明している。

We Belong to the Stars is the debut of a band that started with one demo. Kristian Fyhr, who sings in Seventh Crystal, sent some songs he had written to Frontiers president Serafino Perugino, hoping they might be used on the label's other projects. One of them — “My Rock N' Roll” — caught Perugino's ear. He asked Fyhr whether he would front a new band and make an entire album in the direction that song pointed: plainly different from his day job in Seventh Crystal. Magnus Karlsson of The Ferrymen and Primal Fear was chosen for guitar. The rhythm section came by recommendation from Jona Tee of H.E.A.T., who put his own bandmate Jimmy Jay forward on bass; Magnus Ulfstedt, formerly of Eclipse and Nordic Union, took the drum stool. Alessandro Del Vecchio produced, mixed and mastered. It appeared on 16 September 2022 with eleven tracks. “Unbreakable” led as the single and Chez Kane guests on “Masquerade.” And it closes on the song that started all of it, “My Rock N' Roll.” The label places this under the same umbrella as H.E.A.T., Eclipse and Crowne — only heavier, and more riff-driven.
