Into the Light: The Solo Albums gathers David Coverdale's three solo albums, White Snake (1977), Northwinds (1978) and Into the Light (2000), on six CDs under the WHITESNAKE name. Rhino released it on 25 October 2024, and Warner Music Japan's edition followed on 13 November. Coverdale now considers the three to be Whitesnake albums.
Each album appears twice, newly remixed in 2024 and remastered from its original mix. The remixes of the two 1970s albums used audio-separation software, and both were re-sequenced, the Northwinds remix gaining "Sweet Mistreater" and "Shame the Devil, Tell the Truth". Unreleased demos sit beside Into the Light, among them "Lay Your Love on Me", which became "Lay Down Your Love" on Good to Be Bad (2008), and "Crazy 'Bout Cha", which became "Whipping Boy Blues" on Forevermore (2011), and the set reaches back to home demos Coverdale made as a teenager in 1968. The hardcover box carries a 60-page book of rare photographs, detailed notes and a new interview with Coverdale. Ninety-one tracks in all.
