Landing in St. Louis: Live 1982 is UFO at the Kiel Auditorium in St. Louis, Missouri, on 14 March 1982, a night on the American tour behind Mechanix, which had come out the month before. The sleeve of Cleopatra Records' CD lists the five on stage: Phil Mogg on vocals, Paul Chapman on guitar, Pete Way on bass, Andy Parker on drums and Neil Carter on keyboards and guitar. It is the band of the years after Michael Schenker, with Chapman and Carter in the line-up.
The twelve songs open with Mechanix's "We Belong to the Night" and "Let It Rain". Then come "Long Gone" from the previous album, The Wild, the Willing and the Innocent, the title song of No Place to Run, the title song of the previous album and "Only You Can Rock Me" from Obsession, followed by "Terri" from Mechanix, "Makin' Moves" from the previous album and "Doing It All for You" from Mechanix. "Too Hot to Handle" and "Lights Out" from Lights Out lead into the closing "Mystery Train" from No Place to Run. Four songs come from the new album and three from the one before it, while the 1970s are down to three: "Only You Can Rock Me", "Too Hot to Handle" and "Lights Out".
The concert first appeared as the third CD, "St Louis 1982", of Cleopatra Records' four-CD box Live Sightings, which also held the band's Chicago shows of 1980 and 1981 and Cleveland on 9 June 1982. Cleopatra issued it on its own as the CD Landing In St. Louis - Live 1982 in December 2023 and again in a jewel case in September 2024. Belle Antique, a label of Marquee Inc., presents it with a 2026 remaster as a paper-sleeve SHM-CD, catalogue number BELLE 264457, with a release date of 25 November 2026, together with Hollywood 1976, the band's 1976 concert.
