Live at Wacken

A live album from the band's 1999 appearance at Wacken Open Air, issued by Spitfire Records in 2001. The band's own discography titles it Live At Wacken, Germany '99. That show is not just another date. The band had stopped in the mid-1980s, and the invitation to play Wacken as a twentieth-anniversary set is what restarted it. By Jess Cox's account he did it with Robb Weir, and because the other former members did not want to take part, Blitzkrieg backed the two of them. The set leans on the earliest material — "Rock 'n' Roll man", "Euthanasia", "Don't Touch Me There", "Money", "Suzie Smiled", "Wild Catz", "Insanity", "Fire Clown". After that night Weir assembled a working band in 2000, and it has run ever since.
