The third studio album, released by MCA Records on 3 November 1981 as MCF 3123 — barely seven months after Spellbound, and three albums in fifteen months counting from the debut.
Everyone involved calls it a failure. Rocky Laws says they went in without demoing, that much of it was written on the spot over a chord sequence, and that there are almost no overdubs and no backing vocals. Jon Deverill: "We felt under pressure from our record company to deliver another album and it was rushed. We weren't ready and we were also exhausted due to constant touring... For me, it's work in progress and an unfinished album." Part of the reason Chris Tsangarides, who had made the first two, was not on it is that he had asked for a writing credit on a Spellbound song.
The launch was at the Marquee on Bonfire Night, 5 November 1981. The album reached number 51 and stayed three weeks. Rodney Matthews painted the sleeve — and would be asked back thirty-one years later for Ambush.
