Bloodlines

The thirteenth studio album, released by Mighty Music on 5 May 2023 as PMZ390CD: ten songs from "Edge of the World" to "Making All The Rules". Track nine, "A New Heartbeat", is the song that had given the previous year's EP its title. Robb Weir's own measure of how the record went is a chart position: it entered the Danish chart at number 14, one place below Taylor Swift at 13, and reached 18 in Sweden. He has called 2023 one of the best years of his long time in this band. Charting in Scandinavia at all is bound up with the band's decade-long association with Mighty Music and The Target Group in Denmark, which began, by Weir's account, with a coincidence: playing the Jailbreak in Rome, he looked out into the audience and recognised the Tygers' own manager from the late seventies.
