LINER NOTES
LANGUAGE
A year after the debut, Trouble went slower and heavier still. It came out in 1985, on Steamhammer as the 12-inch SH 0027 in Germany and on Metal Blade in the United States.
Seven songs, each of them long. The way "Pray for the Dead" hands over to "Fear No Evil", and the drag of the title track placed at the end, concentrate the Black Sabbath inheritance entirely into slowness. Eric Wagner's voice sinks lower here more often than on the first record.
Together with the debut it is treated as one of the two albums that settled the earliest shape of American doom metal. The running order here is the 1985 original's as printed.
