Nightlife (SHM-CD)

Nightlife is Universal Music Japan's reissue of Thin Lizzy's fourth album, from 1974, released as the third instalment of the label's Thin Lizzy card-sleeve series. It is the first record the band made for Vertigo after Brian Robertson and Scott Gorham joined on guitar, and it carries the ten album songs including "Still in Love with You", on which Gary Moore plays. The disc uses the original mix and adds seven outtakes and alternate mixes, making seventeen tracks in all: the 7" edit of "Philomena", demos of "Showdown" and of "Still in Love with You" and "It's Only Money" with Gary Moore, a vocal version of "Banshee" and an extended "Night Life" as alternate mixes, and a rough mix of "Still in Love with You". The material overlaps with the seven-disc box 74-75: Night Life / Fighting of 2025, but here it is gathered around the single album. The pressing is a limited SHM-CD in a card sleeve that reproduces the first British LP in miniature, with an obi modelled on the first Japanese LP and with sleeve notes, lyrics and translations. The label is Mercury, the catalogue number UICY-80648, and the release date 6 November 2026.
