Permission to Land... Again (20th Anniversary Edition)

Permission to Land... Again marks twenty years of the 2003 debut. Atlantic released it on 6 October 2023 as two CDs, a 4CD + DVD box, five LPs and the original single LP (official site). The first of the two CDs is the album with six previously unreleased demos added, "Black Shuck (Demo)" having gone out ahead of the release; among the demos are early forms of "Nothin's Gonna Stop Us", which later went on Hot Cakes, and "Live 'Til I Die", which went on Easter Is Cancelled (Louder). The second gathers seventeen tracks: three early versions from 2002, the singles and their B-sides, the 2004 "Get Your Hands off My Woman... Again" and the Christmas single "Christmas Time (Don't Let the Bells End)". The box adds live recordings from Knebworth in 2003, where the band supported Robbie Williams, from the Astoria in London the same year and from Wembley Arena in 2004, with a DVD of the promotional videos and film of Knebworth and the Astoria. The original single LP had been out of print since its 2003 pressing, and a limited blue-and-black marbled pressing was made too (official site). On the UK chart it re-entered under the original album at number 31, and reached number 2 on the Rock & Metal Albums Chart. In Japan Warner Music Japan issued the two-CD edition alone, on 18 October (WPCR-18633/4), with a message card printing a letter Justin Hawkins wrote to his Japanese fans. The running order here is the two-CD edition's as printed.
