Soldiers Under Command

Soldiers Under Command is the second album, dated 23 August 1985 on the band's own official list and again released through Enigma. Its chart life was slow and long rather than steep. It entered the Billboard 200 on 28 September 1985 and peaked at No. 84 on 30 November — not a high placing, but it stayed on the chart for sixty-four weeks. This was a record that kept selling rather than one that arrived. The RIAA certified it Gold on 6 April 1988, with Enigma as the label of record. The songs here were later revisited by the band themselves: of the fourteen re-recordings on 2013's Second Coming, six were drawn from this album.
