No More Hell to Pay

No More Hell to Pay came out on 5 November 2013 through Frontiers Records in two formats, a standard CD and a deluxe digipak with exclusive video content. Michael Sweet produced. It is an album of entirely new material by the original four, and Sweet framed it as the band's thirty-year anniversary record — their eleventh studio release since the 1984 debut. The sound was a deliberate choice. By his account every song was built on a hooky guitar riff and everything was written in minor keys, to pull the record closer to To Hell With the Devil than to the poppier albums. The title track's clip was the band's first music video in more than twenty years. The chart result was their best in a long time: over 9,500 copies in the first week for No. 35 on the Billboard 200, No. 2 on Contemporary Christian Albums and No. 3 on Top Christian/Gospel Albums, plus No. 1 on iTunes' rock chart and No. 8 overall on release day. Frontiers describes it as the band's highest Billboard entry since the To Hell With the Devil era.
