House of Gold & Bones – Part 1

LINER NOTES
LANGUAGE
House of Gold & Bones – Part 1 is the fourth album, the first part of a two-part concept work based on a story written by Corey Taylor. David Bottrill produced. Around a grand story of a single protagonist journeying through a mysterious world, heavy riffs and melodic singing are tightly bound together. In tandem with the album, a four-part comic was also published by Dark Horse. "Absolute Zero" topped the US rock chart with its firm riff, and the opening "Gone Sovereign" makes a dramatic beginning. On songs like "Tired" and "A Rumor of Skin," the story's tension and emotion are put into sound. Fusing narrative and musicality at a high level, it reached number seven on the US Billboard 200. After the departure of original bassist Shawn Economaki, it is an ambitious work announcing the start of a new chapter.
