Talviyö

Talviyö is a work on which Sonata Arctica, rather than reproducing the early speed as is, carefully draws its own present position around melody and vocal expression. As the title, meaning “winter night” in Finnish, suggests, the keyboards’ delicate color, soft guitar and Tony Kakko’s conversational vocals create a transparency and quiet temperature evoking a snowscape.
