The formation of SKILLS was not the spontaneous birth of a band, but the product of an A&R (Artists and Repertoire) strategy based on a clear vision. The project was launched by Serafino Perugino, the President and A&R Director of the Italian record label Frontiers Music Srl.

The direct catalyst for the project was when Perugino first heard the singing voice of Renan Zonta, a young singer from Brazil, and was shocked by his overwhelming ability. Renan Zonta, from Cascavel, Paraná, Brazil, is a rising powerhouse singer known as the frontman of Electric Mob and Brother Against Brother. Interestingly, his musical awakening began not as a vocalist, but as an aspiring guitarist who admired "classy shredders" like Adrian Smith of Iron Maiden. However, because his high school band lacked a vocalist, he took the microphone as a temporary substitute until a suitable singer could be found, which became the decisive turning point that unleashed his hidden talent.

In 2016, he left his hometown and moved to Curitiba, the capital of Paraná state, where he formed Electric Mob along with local musicians Ben Hur Auwarter (guitar), Yuri Elero (bass), and André Leister (drums). Fusing 1970s to 1990s bluesy hard rock with modern heavy grooves, the band released their debut album Discharge, suddenly drawing international attention, and later released 2 Make U Cry & Dance.

Brad Gillis - Guitars

Born on June 15, 1957, in Honolulu, Hawaii, Brad Gillis is one of the legendary guitarists symbolizing 1980s American Hard Rock. In 1978, he made his professional debut with the funk rock band Rubicon alongside Jerry Martini and Jack Blades, with whom he would later form Night Ranger. Rubicon released two albums, Rubicon and American Dreams, from 20th Century Fox Records, and performed at the legendary rock festival "California Jam II" in 1978, which attracted 250,000 people. This performance left a strong impression on bassist Rudy Sarzo, who would later become a bandmate in Ozzy Osbourne's band.

After Rubicon disbanded, following a short-lived club band called Stereo that included Kelly Keagy and others, Night Ranger was formed around 1980. Benefiting greatly from the newly launched MTV, music videos for songs like "Don't Tell Me You Love Me" were broadcast as many as 25 times a day on early MTV, which suffered from a content shortage, catapulting them into stardom in no time.

Another historical event of note in Gillis's career is his joining the Ozzy Osbourne band in 1982. On March 19 of that year, a tragedy occurred when Randy Rhoads, known as a genius guitarist, died suddenly in an aircraft accident. After a temporary replacement by Bernie Tormé did not fit Osbourne's non-blues-based style, Gillis was called in overnight for an audition and was officially hired as the successor after playing just one song. Despite receiving extremely harsh treatment from Osbourne, who was suffering from severe alcoholism and unable to accept Rhoads' death, Gillis brilliantly completed the Diary of a Madman tour and engraved his historical performance on the live album Speak of the Devil. Afterward, he returned to Night Ranger, reaching the pinnacle of the scene with his unique arming technique (whammy-tinged bends) and gain-drenched descending scale lines, fully showcasing his signature sound in SKILLS as well.

Billy Sheehan - Bass

Born on March 19, 1953, in Buffalo, New York, Billy Sheehan is an innovative player who fundamentally overturned the concept of the bass guitar and is one of the most respected bassists in the rock and metal world. He established a unique playing style called "lead bass," utilizing extremely advanced techniques such as chording, two-handed tapping, three-finger picking, and controlled feedback. Due to these innovative performances, he was selected as "Best Rock Bass Player" five times in the reader polls of Guitar Player magazine, and in 2018, he was inducted into the "Metal Hall of Fame" in recognition of his outstanding technique and educational contributions to young players.

Sheehan's professional career began in earnest with Talas, a band formed in his hometown of Buffalo. In 1985, he was recruited by David Lee Roth's solo band after Roth left Van Halen, participating in two platinum-selling albums and securing his global fame.

In 1989, he formed his own band, Mr. Big, along with guitarist Paul Gilbert and others. The band's song "To Be With You" hit number one on the Billboard charts in 14 countries, including the United States, becoming a massive global hit. Since then, he has continued to perform at the forefront in countless projects to this day, including releasing The Winery Dogs (2013) and Hot Streak (2015) with The Winery Dogs formed alongside Mike Portnoy and Richie Kotzen, as well as the progressive metal supergroup Sons Of Apollo with Derek Sherinian, Jeff Scott Soto, Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal, and others.

David Huff - Drums

Born on July 28, 1961, David Huff is a drummer, songwriter, and producer who has built a solid position in the American rock and studio scene alongside his brother Dann Huff, a highly renowned session musician.

The origin of Huff's career dates back to 1963 with David and the Giants, formed in Laurel, Mississippi, with his brothers Clayborn Huff and Rayborn Huff. In 1969, the band welcomed Keith Thibodeaux, known as a child actor in I Love Lucy, as their drummer, reaching their commercial peak. However, in 1977, after the brothers converted to Christianity, the band drastically shifted its musical direction from mainstream rock to Christian rock.

Subsequently, brothers David and Dann were active as the original lineup of the Christian rock band White Heart, and went on to form the melodic hard rock band GIANT in the late 1980s, achieving great success and deeply engraving their name among hard rock fans. In addition, Huff established Huff Recording Studios in Nashville, Tennessee, showcasing his skills in engineering and producing sessions for artists across a wide range of genres including country, pop, and rock. Alessandro Del Vecchio - Producer / Keyboards

Born on April 21, 1979, in Somma Lombardo, Lombardy, Italy, Alessandro Del Vecchio is one of the most important producers in the contemporary Melodic Rock and Power Metal scenes. He established his own studio, Ivorytears Music Works Studio, north of Milan, and has spearheaded countless projects as an in-house producer for Frontiers Music Srl.

Del Vecchio is a multi-player with outstanding talents not only as a producer and mixing engineer but also as a keyboardist, songwriter, and backing vocalist. To date, he has participated in a countless number of bands and projects, including Hardline, Edge of Forever, Revolution Saints, Sunstorm, Iconic, and Vanden Plas, providing his refined production skills.

In SKILLS as well, he not only handles keyboards and backing vocals but also takes charge of the production, arrangement, mixing, mastering of the entire album, and the songwriting for many tracks, playing a crucial role as the "glue" that integrates the talents of members with different backgrounds and generations into one robust hard rock sound.
