Judgement Day appeared on No Bull Records in 1996, recorded across two continents: Goodnight L.A. Studios in Van Nuys, California and MTM Studios in Esslingen, next door to the band's Stuttgart base. Keith Olsen and Peter Love mixed it, and Mat Sinner's own photo archive keeps a picture of the band with Olsen in Los Angeles.
Mat Sinner produced, and the band's keyboard player Frank Rössler engineered. Alex Beyrodt and Tom Naumann played guitar, Fritz Randow drums, and Ralf Scheepers turns up again on backing vocals — a year before he and Mat Sinner formed Primal Fear. In 1997 the band toured as support to Whitesnake.
AFM's history places this album and Bottom Line together as the mid-1990s stretch when Sinner toured with Mr. Big and Savatage. Nuclear Blast later took the album into its own catalogue, and it opens the four-disc box the label built from the 1996-2003 run.
