LINER NOTES
LANGUAGE
Morbid Visions came out on 10 November 1986 on Cogumelo Records in Brazil as COG002, with Roadrunner handling it internationally. It was recorded that August at Estúdio Vice Versa in Belo Horizonte and produced by the band themselves.
Max Cavalera sings and plays rhythm guitar, Igor Cavalera plays drums and percussion and Jairo Guedz plays lead guitar. Paulo Jr. is credited on bass, although it is recorded that Guedz played it.
The band were in their teens and were writing English lyrics with a dictionary, a word at a time. The liner notes say they did not tune their guitars during the recording. Copies pressed before 1992 opened with Carl Orff's "O Fortuna", which was taken off later.
Eight songs, 33 minutes and 35 seconds. Reissues from 1991 on put the album together on one disc with the 1985 EP Bestial Devastation, and that combined master is what the player on this page carries; its first eight songs are this album.
