Lovedrive brings Scorpions’ cutting riffs, wistful melodic sense and dramatic vocal character into an especially focused hard-rock statement. Klaus Meine’s voice can climb high without losing warmth, carrying both urgency and loneliness through the material. The guitars attack with real bite, but they also make room for lyrical phrases that deepen the songs rather than simply decorate them.
