Live at the Inferno

The last record Raven made for Neat, and the one immediately before the Atlantic deal: a nineteen-track double live album whose sleeve declares outright that there are no overdubs on it. It is not, however, one night. Gallagher told Extreminal that the album was assembled from several dates, New York and Chicago among them — which is what separates it from 2019's Screaming Murder Death From Above, a single show start to finish. His favourite story about the record concerns the back-cover photograph. Manager Jon Zazula haggled with the photographer, whose usual fee was a thousand dollars, and kept offering three hundred. Told he would have to pay more than that, Zazula sent a cheque for $300.01 and used the picture anyway. Teichiku issued a Japanese 2CD edition on 21 September 1990 as TECP403989.
