Out of the Cellar is the debut album, on which RATT crystallized the glamorous air of Los Angeles with heavy, undulating riffs and Stephen Pearcy's distinctive voice. The golden five set the lineup: Pearcy (vocals), the twin guitars of Warren DeMartini and Robbin Crosby, Juan Croucier (bass) and Bobby Blotzer (drums). The guitars leave a strong impression not only with flashy solos but with the strength of rhythm that pushes the songs.
Led by "Round and Round," the songs are compact yet full of hooks. Driven by the twin guitars of DeMartini and Crosby, "Round and Round" became a US number 12 hit and pushed the band to instant stardom. Songs like "Wanted Man" and "Back for More" are also full of momentum. A record that became a benchmark of 1980s LA metal, holding catchiness and dangerous allure at once.
