Liner Notes
Infestation is a comeback album on which RATT again sounded the appeal of LA hard rock, making use of catchy riffs, loose and pleasant grooves and husky vocals. To Stephen Pearcy (vocals), Warren DeMartini (guitar) and Bobby Blotzer (drums), ex-Quiet Riot guitarist Carlos Cavazo and Robbie Crane (bass) were added. Michael Baskette's production revived the momentum of old in a contemporary sound.
The hook of "Best of Me" and the drive of "Eat Me Up Alive" convey the regathered band's fulfillment. The melodic skill derived from the 1980s lives on songs like "Last Call" and "Garden of Eden" too. The songs move lightly, but the meshing of the guitars and the hooks of the choruses have a solid presence. A powerful record highly praised by critics too, delighting longtime fans.
