The Journey Goes On

The Journey Goes On is the eighth Praying Mantis studio album, released by Pony Canyon on 19 March 2003 as PCCY-01636. Since Predator in Disguise in 1991 this band's records had come out in Japan first, and this is one of them. Ten songs, about an hour. The title says what it means: thirteen years on from the 1990 reunion, the journey goes on. The closing "Naked" is a re-recording of a song that had appeared only on the international edition of Nowhere to Hide in 2000 — the Japanese listing calls it "Naked (Re-Recorded Version 2003)" — and because the Japanese CD of that album did not carry it, this was where Japanese listeners met the song for the first time. Six years passed before the next original album; Sanctuary did not arrive until 2009.
