The Bottom Line Nagoya Japan 1998 is one night: 11 November 1998, at The Bottom Line in Nagoya. The sleeve prints the date outright — "Live at The Bottom Line, Nagoya, Japan, November 11, 1998". The band were touring Forever in Time, which had come out that June, and seven of the fifteen songs are from it: "Wasted Years", "The Messiah", "Valley of the Kings", "Remember My Name", "The Day the Sun Turned Cold", "Forever in Time" and "Best Years". The rest reaches back across everything since Time Tells No Lies in 1981 — "A Cry for the New World", "Rise Up Again", "Children of the Earth", "Can't See the Angels". The band introductions lead into "Letting Go" to close. About an hour and thirty-six minutes. Marquee Inc. released the Japanese edition on 8 July 2026 as MICP-30235, two SHM-CDs, with no Japan-only bonus tracks. The same recording is discs three and four of The Official Bootleg Box Set Vol 1: Live in Japan 1993 & 1998, the four-CD set Cherry Red / HNE issued on 24 April 2026, in the same order.
