The Bottom Line Nagoya Japan 1993

The Bottom Line Nagoya Japan 1993 is a two-disc record of one concert: The Bottom Line, Nagoya, 24 November 1993, on the tour behind A Cry for the New World, which had come out in Japan that May. Mark Thompson-Smith sang; the founding brothers Tino and Chris Troy played guitar and bass; Dennis Stratton, formerly of Iron Maiden, was the second guitarist and Bruce Bisland the drummer. This is what the band sounded like in the years after the 1990 reunion, when several ex-Iron Maiden players passed through it. The set takes "A Cry for the New World", "Rise Up Again", "A Moment in Life", "Letting Go", "Dangerous" and "Journeyman" from the new album and sets them beside "Cheated", "Lovers to the Grave", "Flirting with Suicide", "Captured City" and "Children of the Earth" from the 1981 debut. Sixteen songs, about an hour and thirty-nine minutes. Marquee Inc. released the Japanese edition on 24 June 2026 as MICP-30230, two SHM-CDs. The same recording is discs one and two of the four-CD box Cherry Red / HNE issued on 24 April 2026. The band's return to the same stage five years later is its own Japanese release, The Bottom Line Nagoya Japan 1998.
