Hollyweird is the sixth album, released by Poison in their original lineup after C.C. DeVille's return. The golden four — Bret Michaels (vocals), C.C. DeVille (guitar), Bobby Dall (bass) and Rikki Rockett (drums) — gathered again after a long time, and it became the first full album after DeVille's return. Keeping the spirit of party rock of old, it also tries a more contemporary texture.
The momentum of the title track "Hollyweird" and the playfulness of the cover of The Who's classic "Squeeze Box" convey the exhilaration of a regathered band. The unity unique to the four lives on songs like "Shooting Star" and "Get 'Ya Some" too. Opinion was divided on the production, but the significance of the original members gathering again is great. As the title, mocking the frenzy of Hollywood, suggests, a record to be enjoyed with a relaxed attitude.
