Projects in the Jungle
Projects in the Jungle is a useful way to hear PANTERA from a different angle within the 1984 catalogue.

Liner Notes
Projects in the Jungle is the second album on which PANTERA further refined the glam-metal style. Centered on Terry Glaze’s vocals, the Abbott brothers’ playing gains a further step of power from the debut. It is an early representative record reflecting the heat of the early-1980s metal scene.
Behind the flashy melody and gorgeous arrangement, Dimebag Darrell’s guitar steadily hones its sharpness. Though greatly different from the later ferocious sound, the fullness of the playing and the sight of the band accumulating trial and error are clearly carved. A youthful ambition and momentum characteristic of this period run through the whole work. It is a record not to be missed for tracing the trajectory of the band’s growth.
