SCØRE

SCØRE is PaleNeØ's first full-length album and its debut for VAA, released on December 4, 2024 with the catalogue number PNO-002. The idea behind it was to treat the album as a single sheet of music on which the band's genre-less writing could be set down — the artist photographs for it are ruled with staves. Eleven songs. “Allegro,” issued ahead of the record, is a sequel to the first digital single “PANORAMA” and belongs to what the band calls its “Neo” side; it was written under the working title “Speed” as something immediate enough to carry a music video, and is one of the few tracks with no death vocal from Hohomi. “in Gloria Dei” was written by REOTO early in 2024, with a Latin libretto for its operatic passage and an opening drawn from Burgmüller's “La chevaleresque.” “Shichigatsu Nanoka,” written for Tanabata, begins a cappella and ends on Bach's “Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring.” “CRAZY & NOiSY & CUTiE MAGiC!” has words by Hohomi and choreography by Hohomi and YONA, with a bass solo written by asanuko after the second chorus — a deliberate second lead track aimed at short-form video. The CD-only bonus track, “Fuminhikou,” had been in the live set since the band's first months; recording a song that the stage had already settled was a first for the group. The album reached number 29 on Oricon's daily album chart (December 3, 2024), number 9 on the weekly rock album chart (December 16, 2024) and number 3 on Tower Records' all-store weekly J-INDIES chart for December 2–8. The first national one-man tour behind it, Allegro Agitato, ran through seven cities from March to May 2025, with the Shizuoka, Osaka and Yokohama dates sold out.
