THE GREAT BLUE

The third album, released on 10 September 1990 with the catalogue number POCP-1035, on Polydor. A single CD, DCI3020, came with it on release. It carries on from Blind to Reality of 1989 while the approach to sound begins to change. The density of the riffing is kept, but a little space is let into it and the singing is brought forward. Given how plainly that direction takes shape on The Final Day the following year, this record can be heard as the step just before it. The album opens with Just Believe In Me and the main programme ends on Great Blue. Four bonus tracks follow - Bearing Down, Love Song, I Feel Alright and Blitzkrieg Bop - making twelve in all. A digital remaster appeared in 2007 as UICE-1135. The running order here is the original release's as printed.
