Inferno

Inferno is a studio album released on 22 June 2004, issued by Sanctuary in the United States as 06076-85241-2 and by Steamhammer of Germany as a two-disc CD and DVD, SPV 087-69740. The players are Lemmy Kilmister on bass and vocals, Phil Campbell on guitar and Mikkey Dee on drums. Twelve tracks. This is where Cameron Webb began producing for the band; he went on to make every album through to Bad Magic. It was cut at NRG and Paramount in Los Angeles and at Maple Sound in Santa Ana, and Steve Vai plays on "Terminal Show" and "Down on Me". The sleeve is credited to Joe Petagno, who had drawn for the band for decades, with illustration by Lemmy himself and mastering by Kevin Bartley. Victor issued the Japanese pressing on 21 July 2004 as the enhanced CD VICP-62803. An official music video was made for "Whorehouse Blues". The following year the band won the Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance with their cover of Metallica's "Whiplash"; the category that year honoured recordings released between 1 October 2003 and 30 September 2004.
