Bad Magic

Bad Magic, released on 28 August 2015, is Motörhead's last studio album; the band's own site calls it "the 23rd (and final) studio album". The players are Lemmy Kilmister on bass and vocals, Phil Campbell on guitar and Mikkey Dee on drums — the last record by the three-piece that had stood since 1995. Thirteen tracks, produced by Cameron Webb, who had worked with the band since Inferno in 2004. Brian May of Queen plays the guitar solo on "The Devil", and the album closes with a cover of the Rolling Stones' "Sympathy for the Devil". It reached No. 10 on the Official Albums Chart. Warner Music Japan issued the Japanese pressing on 28 August 2015, the same day as the rest of the world, as WPCR-16754. Lemmy Kilmister died four months later, in December 2015, and the band ended there. In 2023 the reissue Seriously Bad Magic brought out "Greedy Bastards", a previously unreleased track recovered from these sessions.
