Hopiumforthemasses

The sixteenth album, released on 1 March 2024 on Nuclear Blast. The British catalogue number is NBR 70164; Ward Records issued the Japanese edition as GQCS-91442. Nine songs, opening with B.D.E. and closing with Ricky's Hand, a reading of the Fad Gadget song; the other eight are the band's own. Goddamn White Trash and New Religion were given official videos, and B.D.E. a lyric video. When the band's own biography counts their work, this record sits one place before the final album, Hate To Go. A group that began in Chicago in 1981 and was playing polished electro-pop on With Sympathy in 1983 was still putting out new records under the same name more than forty years later. The running order here is the original release's as printed.
