Bad Boys - The McAuley Schenker Group Story 1987-1992 gathers the four albums Michael Schenker made with the singer Robin McAuley, each with bonus tracks, on four CDs from HNE, a Cherry Red label, released on 30 January 2026: Perfect Timing (1987), Save Yourself (1989), M.S.G. (1991) and Unplugged Live (1992).
By the label's account, after four studio albums and two live records between 1980 and 1984, Schenker returned in 1987 with Perfect Timing, fronted by McAuley, formerly of Grand Prix and Far Corporation, and its "Gimme Your Love" reached the Billboard Hot 100. M.S.G. was heavier than what came before, with "Never Ending Nightmare" as its single. Unplugged Live, recorded in Los Angeles in 1992, includes UFO's "Natural Thing", "Doctor Doctor" and "Lights Out", and its disc here adds UFO's "Only You Can Rock Me" and four acoustic versions from Nightmare: The Acoustic M.S.G., a mini-album recorded unplugged in the studio and released only in Japan. Sixty-one tracks in all.
