Load (Remastered Deluxe Box Set) builds a numbered, limited box around the remaster of METALLICA's sixth studio album, first released on 4 June 1996, which entered the American chart at number one and held it for four weeks; the press release calls it five times platinum. The band's own Blackened Recordings issued the box on 13 June 2025, remastered by Reuben Cohen at Lurssen Mastering with Greg Fidelman overseeing, and the reissue restores "The Outlaw Torn" to its full length for the first time, after the original was edited to fit the CD.
The album comes on two 180-gram LPs, with a "Mama Said" picture disc and three LPs of Loadapalooza '96, the band's Lollapalooza headline show at Irvine Meadows on 4 August 1996, and then fifteen CDs and four DVDs. After the remastered album, the CDs hold Shadowcast, five discs of demos, session takes and rough mixes, then B-sides and rarities, Donington Park in 1995, the 1996 club shows and rehearsals, Oslo, and recordings from the 1996-97 tour; the DVDs include the Polar Beach Party in Tuktoyaktuk, Canada. A 128-page hardcover book is in the box too; the CDs carry 215 tracks.
