BREAKING THE TABOO

Breaking the Taboo is the twentieth Loudness album, released by Tokuma Japan Communications on 27 December 2006. Five years after the reunion, this was the seventh album by the reassembled four — already more records than the original line-up had made in its first era, the seven albums from 1981 to 1988. Coming two years after the three releases of 2004, it marks a calmer working pace. As the title suggests, the record leads with the idea of breaking form, and stands as the most deliberately expansive of the reunion albums. The next one, Metal Mad, would be the last this line-up completed together.
