BIOSPHERE

Biosphere is the seventeenth Loudness album, released by Tokuma Japan Communications on 4 September 2002. It is the third record by the reunited original line-up and the start of a nine-year stretch on Tokuma Japan that ran through to Eve to Dawn in 2011. The Japanese subtitle, Shin Sekai — new world — restates what the two previous albums had already argued: that the reunion was not a repetition of the past. Having satisfied themselves that the restart worked, the four settled into a long-term working rhythm here. From this point the band kept to a pace of roughly one album every one or two years, and has held to it into the 2020s.
