El Dorado Hotel

LINER NOTES
LANGUAGE
El Dorado Hotel is a work on which LANA LANE layered translucent vocals, fantastical color from the keyboards and dramatic guitar. While based on melodic rock, the songs show a progressive, symphonic breadth. As a new work after several years, it is a record long awaited by fans. On “A Dream Full of Fire,” “El Dorado” and “Moon God,” from quiet scenes to widely opening choruses, the music changes expression as if advancing a story. Songs like “Maybe We'll Meet Again,” “Darkness Falls” and “In Exile” breathe the work’s full expression too. It is content suited to when you want to steep in a dreamlike atmosphere and the beauty of the singing. Even after a long career, Lana Lane’s voice and Erik Norlander’s arrangements have lost none of their appeal — a full record.
