Curious Goods is the second album on which, centered on heavy keyboard layers and Lana Lane’s clear voice, a fantastical progressive rock is built. While the songs have long developments, the melody always keeps the center of the story. It is a record that developed the debut’s direction into a grander, more intricate form.
On “Curious Goods Part One,” “Emerald City” and “Escher's Staircase,” electronic texture, symphonic breadth and hard-rock drive connect smoothly within one record. Songs like “Reverie,” “Satyr's Moon” and “Symphony Of Angels” breathe the work’s full expression too.
