VII: Sturm und Drang

LINER NOTES
LANGUAGE
VII: Sturm und Drang uses Lamb of God’s low-slung groove, cutting riffs and raw vocal edge to create sustained tension. It does not simply charge at top speed; it often slows down so a single riff or kick drum can land with greater force. Detailed guitar figures, thick chords and off-center rhythmic accents stay tied to a heavy, stable center of gravity. Its complex rhythms and breaks are not displays for their own sake. When a phrase stops and the next riff drops, anger and unease remain in the air. Faster sections intensify the guitar-and-drum exchange, while mid-tempo passages let the groove dominate. At volume, the bass foundation, kick impact, riff attack and rough vocal texture become clear. VII: Sturm und Drang pushes Lamb of God’s weight and aggression deeper, turning tension itself into the record’s main material.
