Black Diamonds is the fourteenth L.A. Guns studio album, released by Frontiers Music on 14 April 2023 — the fourth since the 2017 reunion, and eighteen months after Checkered Past.
Eleven songs, about forty-one minutes. The band keeps the metallic surface of the records either side of it while cutting the songs shorter. Frontiers' own channel posted a lyric video for "You Betray" and music videos for "Diamonds" and "Shattered Glass". The closer, "Like a Drug", earned a permanent place in the live set afterwards and turns up in the 2025 Guild Theatre show.
Marquee Incorporated released the Japanese edition on the same day, 14 April, as MICP-11777 at ¥3,000 including tax, adding an acoustic version of "Shattered Glass" for twelve tracks. A deluxe edition with two further songs appeared in April 2024.
