Outcast

Outcast was released on 22 July 1997 by GUN Records, and by Noise Records in the United States and Japan, where it appeared on 24 July as VICP-60062. It was recorded at Principal Studios in Münster and mixed at Wisseloord Studios in the Netherlands, produced by Vincent Wojno with the band. The record goes further into gothic and industrial territory than anything before it. Mille Petrozza wrote all of the lyrics; the music is credited to the band. Two places in the line-up moved. Ventor, who had left in 1994, returned on drums in place of Joe Cangelosi, and the Swiss guitarist Tommy Vetterli came in on lead guitar after Frank "Blackfire" Gosdzik. Christian Giesler stayed on bass. It reached number ninety-one in Germany, and Rock Hard gave it 9.0 out of ten. Thirteen songs; the running order here is the original's as printed.
