You Won't Go Before You're Supposed To

You Won't Go Before You're Supposed To is the third studio album by Knocked Loose, of Oldham County, Kentucky. Pure Noise Records released it on 10 May 2024, produced by Drew Fulk. Guitarist Nicko Calderon joined in 2021, the year the band put out the EP A Tear in the Fabric of Life. Vocalist Bryan Garris said that EP was the first time they sat down and wrote with strict intention, and that coming back around, working out what they should be and then applying that to a full album was very interesting: they knew they wanted a bigger album in scale, and with that in mind they could expect every single type of Knocked Loose song there is. "Blinding Faith" was the lead single on 27 February 2024, followed by "Don't Reach for Me" on 3 April and "Suffocate", with Poppy, on 23 April. The record has been described as metalcore and hardcore punk with elements of nu metal; Chris Motionless of Motionless in White guests on "Slaughterhouse 2". Metacritic reported universal acclaim, a weighted average of 87 out of 100 from eight reviews. AllMusic said it upped the intensity of their relentless metalcore sound, and Ellis Heasley of Distorted Sound Magazine compared it to Slipknot's Iowa in its complete disregard for what a band with this much hype is supposed to do in this situation.
