KISS Off the Soundboard: Live in San Antonio (December 3, 1985) presents the San Antonio, Texas concert of 3 December 1985 as it was recorded. The import appeared on 28 March 2025 and the Japanese edition on Universal Music on 30 April: a limited two-disc SHM-CD set (UICY-80591, JAN 4988031762875) of eighteen items running about an hour and thirty-three minutes. Kiss were touring Asylum, released that September. This is the line-up of the years after the make-up came off in 1983 — Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Eric Carr and Bruce Kulick — and it was Kulick's first full tour behind an album as a member of the band. The set divides its time between the new record and the old ones. 'Uh! All Night' and 'Tears Are Falling' come from Asylum and the title track of the preceding Lick It Up is played, while 'Detroit Rock City', 'Cold Gin', 'Love Gun' and 'Rock and Roll All Nite' carry the 1970s. Three of the four members take a solo, each held here as an item of its own, which is a fair record of how the stage was built in this period.
