Is There Love in Space?

This is the tenth studio album, released by Epic on 13 April 2004 as EK 90832, eleven tracks. The Japanese edition, EICP 355, carries twelve, adding Dog With Crown and Earring. Recording ran from late 2003 into early 2004 and the title was announced on 22 March 2004. One thing sets it apart: Satriani sings. On Lifestyle and I Like the Rain he takes the microphone for the first time since the self-titled album of 1995. The record reached number 80 on the Billboard 200 and spent two weeks there. In May 2005 he toured India for the first time, playing Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai. One song here later reached a courtroom. On 4 December 2008 Satriani filed suit in the United States District Court for the Central District of California, claiming that Coldplay's 2008 song Viva la Vida used substantial original portions of If I Could Fly. Coldplay denied it; the case was dismissed on 14 September 2009, with each party agreeing to pay its own trial costs. The running order here is the import CD's as printed.
