LINER NOTES
LANGUAGE
Ten coloured LPs hold nine albums here, because Fear of the Dark, the only double, is split over a blue disc and a yellow one. The other eight get a colour each: red and gold for Iron Maiden, red for Killers, silver for The Number of the Beast, yellow for Piece of Mind, gold for Powerslave, oxblood for Somewhere in Time, white for Seventh Son of a Seventh Son and olive for No Prayer for the Dying. That is every Iron Maiden studio album from 1980 to 1992, and the per-LP running orders a US retailer has listed follow the original records, 81 tracks in all, inside an artwork box designed for the set.
The band announced the collection on its website on 3 September 2026 as a fiftieth-anniversary release whose contents echo the songs of the two-year Run For Your Lives world tour, and gave it a release date of 11 December 2026, or 8 January 2027 in the US. By the band's account it is an Amazon exclusive outside the United States, with an anniversary poster, while in the US a general-retail version without the poster is also available, on Sanctuary; that US pressing is the one shops in Japan take orders for as an import (as of 4 November 2026). No Japanese edition had been announced by that date.
