A CRY FROM THE SKY ABOVE

The standard edition of A Cry from the Sky Above, the fourteenth full-length album Galneryus released through Warner Music Japan on 15 July 2026. The band made their major-label debut in 2003 with The Flag of Punishment and have since widened their reach with closing themes for the television anime Hunter x Hunter, Rainbow: Nisha Rokubou no Shichinin and Donten ni Warau; this arrives roughly two years after The Stars Will Light the Way, the September 2024 album marking twenty years since that debut. The current line-up is SYU on guitar, Masatoshi “SHO” Ono on vocals, TAKA on bass, YUHKI on keyboards and LEA on drums. Nine songs across about sixty-five minutes makes this a shorter track list than most recent Galneryus records, but the songs themselves run long, and “Without You”, late in the running order, passes fifteen minutes. It opens with “Call of the Horizon”, moves through the lead track “The Light of Hope” and on through “Let No Time Decay” and “Beyond the Sunrise”, and closes with “Where You Were”. The label introduces it as a hymn to life sounding out over an age of rubble. Several formats were prepared, among them a limited first edition with a Blu-ray, a fully limited edition with a T-shirt, and a WMS-exclusive edition with goods and a T-shirt — but the track list is the same on all of them. The standard edition is the single-disc version for anyone who wants the music without the video or the merchandise, and it stays at ¥3,740 including tax. A ten-date tour, The Cry Echoes Through the Sky 2026, was booked around the release, running from Supernova Kawasaki on 5 August to Garden Shin-Kiba Factory in Tokyo on 5 September.
