Silver Romance is a bright, positive power-metal work fitting to celebrate FREEDOM CALL’s 25th anniversary. Glittering keyboards, bouncing rhythm and sky-piercing choruses come together, taking the listener to a fantastical place a little removed from daily life. Even after a long career, it is a record on which the band’s happiness has not faded in the least. On “Silver Romance,” “Symphony of Avalon,” “Supernova” and “Metal Generation,” while binding romance and adventurous spirit, a big sing-along remains at the end. Songs like “Infinity,” “Distant Horizon” and “Big Bang Universe” breathe the band’s full melodic sense too.
