Good Acoustics

Good Acoustics is a work that takes out FIREHOUSE’s representative melodies in an acoustic lineup, showing the strength of the songs themselves. By pulling back the distorted guitar, the warmth of C.J. Snare’s singing and the choruses comes more to the front. It is a record that once again proved the band’s high songwriting ability. On representative songs like “Love Of A Lifetime,” “When I Look Into Your Eyes” and “Don't Treat Me Bad,” an intimacy unique to acoustic is added. A cover of “Seven Bridges Road,” known from the Eagles and others, is also included. Songs like “You Are My Religion” and “Here for You” breathe the band’s full playing too. The construction that lets you hear through the intimacy of the playing rather than flashy sound pressure is pleasant. It is a record on which the band’s pop sense and melody can once again be savored.
