FireHouse is the debut on which, with thick riffs and C.J. Snare’s high vocals, FIREHOUSE put forth orthodox melodic hard rock. Balancing catchy melody and sure playing ability, the band made a vivid appearance. It is the memorable starting point of the band from Charlotte, North Carolina.
On “Don't Treat Me Bad,” “Love of a Lifetime” and “Shake & Tumble,” energetic rock numbers and heart-touching ballads show the band’s wide appeal. In particular, the fine ballad “Love of a Lifetime” became a big hit representative of the band. Up-tempo songs like “All She Wrote” breathe an early, fresh appeal too. This work was highly acclaimed, winning the American Music Award for Best New Hard Rock/Heavy Metal Band. It is a vivid debut representative of late-1980s melodic hard rock.
