LINER NOTES
LANGUAGE
Dynamind is a work on which EDENBRIDGE bound the clear voice of Sabine Edelsbacher and Lanvall’s symphonic composition even more precisely. Guitar, keyboards and orchestration draw a vast scenery, but the density of the sound never covers the singing. Rather, each part is placed to make the vocal melody stand out, so even within the fantastical worldview, the songs’ emotion always reaches clearly. On “The Memory Hunter,” “Live and Let Go,” “What Dreams May Come” and “Dynamind,” in racing scenes the shine of rhythm and lead creates a rising feel, and in quiet scenes the delicate sway of the voice leaves an impression. Songs like “Where Oceans Collide” and “Tauerngold” breathe the band’s firm compositional skill too. The dramatic development works not to show off length but naturally, like a scene change in a story. Turning symphonic metal’s ornamentality into something meaningful through firm melodic sense and construction, it is an EDENBRIDGE-style record.
